iPhone Magnifier App: Vision Accessibility Features for Blind and Low Vision Users

iPhone’s Magnifier app now includes Point and Speak, a feature that helps blind and low vision users interact with physical objects containing multiple text labels. The feature combines LiDAR sensor detection with camera-based optical character recognition. Users point their iPhone at objects like appliances, keypads, or product packaging. The device identifies separate text labels, reads them aloud, and guides users to specific buttons or controls through haptic feedback. Works with household appliances, microwaves, elevator panels, ATMs, and labeled products. Requires iPhone 12 Pro or later with LiDAR sensor. Available in iOS 16 and newer versions.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
