Fortify Your iPhone Security: 6 Essential Steps to Safeguard Your Data and Privacy

Ensure you never get locked out of your phone and lose your pictures and passwords! Secure your iPhone with these 6 steps:

Add a Recovery Contact in case you forget your password

Go to Settings > Apple ID > Account Recovery and follow the steps.

You can also turn on Recovery Key to get a 28-character code to recover your data.

Do a Safety Check

Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Safety Check > Click Manage Sharing & Access.

You can now review all the information you share with others and apps.

Change the Passcode (or make it shorter)

To make your phone more secure, change your passcode now and then. Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Change Passcode

When you have typed your password, you can select Passcode Options if you want a 4-digit PIN or letters instead.

Set up Face ID alternative appearance if you’re using glasses or masks a lot!

Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Set up alternative appearance and follow the guide.

Then turn on Face ID with a mask, tap "Add glasses," and follow the next guide.

Back up your phone!

Don't risk losing precious data - use iCloud to make a copy of everything. To check the last time you backed up or if it is on, head over to Settings > Your name › iCloud > iCloud Backup.

Get full control of your current subscriptions

Apple ID is your passport to all things Apple. Go through each menu element in your Apple ID regularly to get full control of your current subscriptions, payments, and more! You'll find it by clicking on your name in Settings.
