Unveiling the Unseen: Your iPhone's Next Big Upgrade and How to Make the Most of It
Your iPhone is getting a major upgrade next Monday, but you won't even notice the new changes right away. Here are the new features and how to set them up:
StandBy
Optimize your iPhone experience by using it horizontally when charging, unlocking a whole new level of convenience.
Contact Poster:
Express yourself with a personalized Contact Poster. It's part of your contact card, visible in all communication and sharing spaces.
To set it up, go to Contacts, select your profile, and click edit.
Create one-of-a-kind stickers
You can now create stickers directly from the Photos app by long-pressing a subject and tapping "add sticker". Stickers are then available in the emoji keyboard.
Interactive widgets
Widgets can now be interactive, allowing you to turn lights on and off, play music, and perform other actions directly from the widgets.
Set them up by holding on an icon to it stars shaking and then click the plus in the top left corner.
Screen Distance
To reduce eye strain and the risk of myopia in children, Screen Distance will alert you to hold an iPhone or iPad with Face ID at a recommended distance.
Turn it on by going to Settings > Screen Time > Screen Distance
Stay connected with your loved ones by using Check In.
Notify your friend or family member automatically when you reach your destination, assuring them of your safe arrival – whether it's your home or elsewhere.
In Messages, select the plus sign and tap Check In.
